weight loss without dietingIf there is one thing that we have heard more than anything else, it is that we need to diet in order to lose weight.  Although there are dozens of different ways for us to go on a diet, it tends to be something that very few of us want to do for the long term.  Would you be interested in something that would allow you to lose weight without cutting your diet back so drastically that you will be uncomfortable?  Here is a way of effectively losing weight and feeling great in the process.

This basic weight loss regime revolves around exercise but be careful not to be scared off too quickly.  In order for us to feel truly good, we need to get some exercise on a daily basis.  I’m not really talking about going to the gym and sweating it out for hours every day as some people do.  As a matter of fact, that doesn’t really work as effectively as what I am about to tell you.  If you exercise in the way I am about to tell you, you will spend about one hour a week exercising, something that all of us can spare.

Instead of doing cardiovascular exercise until your legs fall off, you should try this weight lifting regime because of the benefits that you will receive.  By building up lean muscle mass on your body, you will burn calories effectively throughout the day and even while you’re sleeping.  Many of us think that weight lifting needs to be time intensive but the fact of the matter is, if you lift weights properly, you will see results from just a little bit of work.

Once a week, or at the most twice a week, go to the gym and do an overall weight lifting regime.  This would consist of six to eight different exercises, all being multi-joint exercises.  Examples would be bench press, leg press and bent over rows.  Each set of exercises should be done for a count of five seconds up and five seconds down  At the end of the set, you should be at a total failure.

What does this have to do with weight loss?  It has everything to do with losing weight and you would be surprised that you will be able to start losing weight within the first week without doing any dieting at all.  The exercise that you do is going to boost your metabolism amazingly and the extra muscle mass that you put on is going to burn calories steadily.

Once you begin to notice a difference in the way that you look, you will more than likely want to diet to a certain extent so that you can lose weight more effectively.  This is not something that you will do grudgingly, it is something that you will want to do because you are seeing nice differences in the way that your body looks and the way that you feel from the inside out.
